About Us Community Links Hawai`i (CLH) is a nonprofit organization that provides high-quality, cost-effective administrative infrastructure, shared services, and organizational development to nonprofit groups that share a commitment to a just, healthy, and sustainable Hawai`i. CLH works with charitable groups or projects that are: (1) not 501(c)(3) organizations; (2) small 501(c)(3) organizations; (3) collaborative projects involving multiple entities; and (4) charitable projects of "for-profit" organizations. Our goal is to leverage shared systems and technical assistance, provided at competitive or below-market rates, to build capacity in Hawaii's nonprofit community, promote social entrepreneurship, and enable work and activities that make Hawai`i a better place. CLH's core services include organizational development, fiscal sponsorship, financial management and accounting services, human resources, contract and grant compliance, and risk/liability management. CLH also connects groups to an array of services that charitable businesses need regularly, including legal services, IT support, graphic and web design, printing, grant writing, etc. CLH enables nonprofit groups to: devote more attention to their mission and goals, core services, and communities; carry out their administrative tasks more effectively and efficiently; and devote a larger percentage of time and funding to program rather than administration.
CLH enables funders to: get more "mileage" out of funding; ensure fiscal and programmatic accountability; and be confident there will be appropriate financial reporting. For CLH's core services, clients pay CLH an overhead allocation of approximately 5% to 15% of their project's expenses, depending on the complexity of a given project. Other services are provided with fees paid on a case-by-case basis. |
